Flag Football:
After starting its inaugural season 3-0, the Glendora flag football program dropped a pair of games to Azusa (27-26) and South Hills (13-6)
After six days off, the Tartans took out their frustrations on visiting Sierra Vista.
And GHS dropped the hammer on the Dons, 62-18, in Monday’s contest at Louie Pompei Memorial Park.
Glendora took a 37-12 lead into the half and the outcome was never in doubt.
Hailey Travisano had five total TD’s for the Tartans.
Three of the five were rushing, and she had a pair of TD catches.
Rylee Franks completed 12 of her 22 passes, and five of the 12 went for scores.
Milana Luera, Olivia Martin, Olivia Scitea and Sadie Diaz all had TD receptions
.
The defense was led by Tatiana Espitia with four flag pulls.
Olivia Martin, Myra Torres and Emily Husung picked off one Sierra Vista pass apiece.
Husung secured her second pick-six of the young season.

Glendora coach, Greg Bidoli: “The girls came out and played well from the beginning. Give Sierra Vista some credit for closing the gap just before half. But our girls really turned it up again to start the second half. All in all, good game. Now we need to get ready for a good Westridge team next week.”
Up next: The Tartans travel to Pasadena next Tuesday afternoon at 4 to battle Westridge.
