After starting the 2024 season 3-0, the Ayala girls flag football program dropped two consecutive games.

They fell, 24-12, to their visitors from Hillcrest, and the Bulldogs dropped a 28-6 decision at Canyon last Wednesday.

On Monday, however, AHS began what they hope will be a lengthy winning streak.

With the game tied at 6-6 in the second half, Ayala scored a pair of TD’s to claim a 20-6 victory at Westridge in Pasadena.

Mariah Sanchez completed 13-of-24 for 113 yards.

And that included one TD pass.

Addison Gonzalez picked off three Westridge passes on defense.

Gonzalez also had a rushing TD for the Bulldogs.

Mariah Holguin had one rushing and a receiving TD in Monday’s win.

Up next: The Bulldogs will travel to Quartz Hill on Tuesday at 5:15, and they’ll visit Arlington on Wednesday at 7:15.

Quartz Hills is 4-2, and Arlington has yet to win a game in 2024, and they’ve scored just 13 total points in five games.
