Flag Football:
San Dimas secured a 21-6 victory on Monday in the first home game in school history.
After being deadlocked 6-6 at the half, the Saints scored 15 second-half points.
The star of the game had to be Ashley Sandmark.
Sandmark had a ridiculous five interceptions, including a 40-yard pick-six.
Audrey Schlim had a rough day, but she did enough to help lead her program to victory.
Schlim completed just 8-of-25 pass attempts for 112 yards and two TD’s.
She also carried the ball three times for 24 yards.
Lei’ani Jaime led the San Dimas running game with 46 yards on four carries, and she caught one pass for three yards.
Makenzie McMillin had team-highs in catches (four) and receiving yards (77).
Faith Kearns caught three passes for 30 yards, and that included TD receptions of 4 and 5 yards, respectively.
Kearns and Natalya Gardea had five flag pulls apiece to pace the SDHS defense.
Makenzie McMillin and Jaime both had a pair of tackles.
Brianna Estrada contributed one flag pull and a pass deflection.
Ava Mercado deflected one pass in Monday’s win.
Up next: The Saints host Los Altos next Tuesday at 4.
