Girls Volleyball:

The only thing better than sweeping a solid program is beating your rival in three games.

And that’s what San Dimas did on Tuesday night.

The Saints cruised to victory by scores of 25-13, 25-17 and 25-15.

San Dimas had their most balanced attack of the season with seven players recording kills.

Bobbie Torres had 10 kills, two blocks and a pair of aces.

Jayden Hanson finished with eight kills, four blocks and 16 assists.

Audrey Sanchez added four aces and nine assists.

Jaelyn Ramos chipped in with three blocks.

Sadie Harper led Bonita with 11 kills, three aces and five digs.

Morgan Watkins added 18 digs and four aces.

Up next: The Saints welcome Claremont on Thursday evening at 5:45.

The Bearcats will host Don Lugo next Tuesday at 4:30.

Quotable:

San Dimas coach, Joe Hanson: “It was absolutely a great feeling to dominate the game, but not because of who we were playing, but because it is fun to watch our girls grow as athletes and really begin to believe in themselves and their capabilities. Obviously, being a rivalry game pumps up the crowd and raises the level of excitement, but our goal in each game is to try and focus on playing within ourselves, fulfilling individual roles so that the machine runs smoothly, regardless of the opponent. Tonight, all the “nuts and bolts” were tight, and the machine worked pretty well. We need to be ready for Claremont Thursday as we lost to them last year.”

Records: Bonita (0-1); San Dimas (7-3)
