Flag Football:
San Dimas made school history on Friday.
The Saints secured their first flag football win in their 2024 season opener.
SDHS claimed a 24-13 victory over West Covina.
WCHS had a 7-6 lead in the first half, but San Dimas finished the game on an 18-6 run.
Audrey Schlim looked good in her debut.
Schlim completed 14-of-29 for 245 yards.
She had TD passes of 15, 2, 60 and 12 yards.
Faith Kearns caught four passes for 132 yards, including TD catches of 15 and 60 yards.
Lei’ani Jaime had four catches of her own for 26 yards, and she had caught TD passes of 2 and 12 yards.
Mackenzie McMillan had a team-high five receptions for 83 yards.
Bianca Acosta caught two passes for 13 yards.
Schlim led the Saints ground game with 74 yards on five carries.
Jaime gained 19 yards on two carries.
Defensively, Ashley Sandmark had two tackles and picked off a pair of passes.
Sandmark totaled 33 yards in pick returns.
McMillin contributed three flag pulls, including one for loss.
Brianna Estrada had a pair of tackles and batted down two passes.
Natalya Gardea finished with two tackles, and she intercepted a pair of WCHS passes.
Sara Pfonner chipped in with two flag pulls.
The only thing that didn’t go well for Tiki Jaime’s program was their 0-for-4 ratio on extra-point attempts.
