Softball:

No biggie.

All Etiwanda needed to do to earn a spot in next weekend’s CIF-SS Division 3 championship game was to knock off top-seeded West Torrance on the Warriors home field.

Alyssa Galindo secured that spot for her girls after a complete-game effort on Saturday.

Galindo allowed one run on seven hits to the No. 15th ranked program in the state by MaxPreps.

She walked one and struck out three.

Sixty-seven of her 103 pitches were strikes.

Bella Narez singled and scored West High’s lone run in the bottom of the third inning.

Alyssa Uyeda and Kayla Vargas had two hits apiece for the Warriors.

Jessica Hsu and Raleigh Chung singled once each for the Pioneer League champions.

Audrey Lopetegui also went the distance, and she was charged with five runs (three earned) on nine hits.

The WHS junior issued one walk and fanned seven Eagles.

EHS scored three runs in the top of the second inning, and they never trailed.

Karrington Bennett’s two-run double got the Eagles on the board.

Taylor Wren went 2-for-4 with a run.

Justyne Zabala singled and scored.

Galindo went 2-for-4 at the plate.

Kimmy Aleman walked, singled and scored.

Charlotte Baum gave Etiwanda a 3-0 advantage with a second-inning sac fly that scored Bennett.

Frankie Nevarez singled and scored.

Brianna Gutierrez had one single in Saturday’s win.

Up next: EHS will face ML King next Saturday in the D-3 title game.

The Wolves (19-9) defeated Agoura, 14-6, in their semifinal-round contest today.
