Bonita finished out their regular season schedule with a 7-6 victory at Glendora.
The Tartans held a 6-4 lead, but the Bearcats scored three runs in the top of the fifth inning, and they held on for a one-run victory.
The Palomares League champs went 14-1 in league games.
Of those 14 wins, half were one-run victories.
Glendora’s Jordan Garrison was saddled with the loss after allowing three runs (one earned) on five hits over four innings.
Garrison didn’t issue a walk and fanned a pair of Bearcats.
BHS got four runs on six hits over three innings off Tanner Grable.
Grable walked four and struck out one.
Jared Brunk singled, hit a two-run homer and scored a pair of runs.
Diego Vazquez singled and hit a two-run HR of his own.
Diego Villa singled, doubled and scored.
Colton Perez walked, singled, doubled and drove in a pair of runs.
It was his two-run double in the top of the fifth that got Bonita even at 6-6, and Perez would also score what turned out to be the game-winning run.
Brady Horn went 2-for-4 for BHS.
Austin Owens drew a pair of walks and scored.
Andrew Alva doubled, and Cody White scored once for the Bearcats.
Jack Rudometkin went two innings, and he was touched up for four runs on six hits.
Rudometkin walked one and fanned a pair of GHS batters.
Daniel Nageer was charged with two runs on five hits over three innings.
He issued two walks and struck out three.
Gavin Reeve provided two scoreless innings in relief, allowing one hit, walking one and striking out three Tartans.
Mason Danison went 2-for-5, including a two-run HR and two runs.
Caleb Nguyen drew a pair of walks, singled twice and scored a pair of runs.
Aaron Jacobsen walked and had an RBI double that gave GHS a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the second inning.
Garrett Dykstra doubled and scored, and Tyler Obert singled and scored.
Matthew Martinez and Matthew Papik had RBI singles in the third inning for the Tartans.
Michael Fierro, Troy Estrada and Aidan Yamazaki singled.
Estrada drew a walk.
Up next: Bonita will get its first-round playoff opponent on Monday morning at 10.
