Zach Menlove Goes Six Innings, Allows One Run & Strikes Out Five in Monrovia’s 7-1 Rio Hondo League Victory at South Pasadena

Monrovia got a great outing from Zach Menlove, and they took advantage of seven South Pasadena errors in a 7-1 Rio Hondo League victory at SPHS.

With the setback, the Tigers fall to one-half game behind first-place San Marino.

Menlove went six innings, and he allowed one run on five hits.

He issued four walks and struck out five SPHS batters.

Charlie Vogel had an RBI single in the seventh.

Devin Robinson singled twice and scored.

Luke Riffle and Griffin Johnson walked and had one single apiece.

Leo Castillo and Nolan Adams both singled for the Tigers.

Jon Bracamonte went six innings, and he was charged with five unearned runs on four hits.

Bracamonte walked three, and he fanned six Monrovia batters.

 

Isaias Hernandez went 3-for-4, with three runs and an RBI.

Noah Ellison walked, singled twice and drove in a run.

Tristan Oandasan drew a pair of walks, singled and had one RBI.

Lucas Martinez singled and scored.

Tony Grise walked and doubled.

Noah Hyatt, Silas Brusseau and Joshua Griffiths scored one run apiece.

Julian Fernandez singled in the win.

Up next: The Wildcats host the Tigers on Thursday at 3:30.

Monrovia has a one-half game lead over Temple City for the Rio Hondo League’s No. 3 spot.
