Boys Basketball:
Northwood earned a 65-59 victory over Bonita in the second round of the Classic at Damien.
The Timberwolves outscored the Bearcats, 45-34, in the second half in a Bronze Division game.
Zaid Yunis hit a game-high four 3-pointers and let NHS with 22 points.
Yunis also earned all-tournament honors.
Ryan Abaye chipped in 19 points in Wednesday’s triumph of BHS.
Colton Perez scored a game-high 29 points and seven rebounds for Bonita.
Josh Kim had a solid night with 20 points.
Andrew Sanchez pulled down 12 rebounds and scored five points.
Up next: BHS will host Arcadia (8-3) this afternoon (Thursday) at 4.
