Girls Tennis:
The opponent was different, but the result and the path to victory was the same.
Claremont cruised to a 12-6 victory over their visitors from Ayala in Tuesday’s Palomares League match.
And it was the Lady Wolfpack doubles teams that paved the way.
CHS doubles went 8-1 over their nine matches, including a 6-for-6 ratio from its No. 1 (Kaili Hernandez-Paige Ruffner) and No. 2 (Nika Cait Crisostomo-Keyra Miao).
Claremont got two wins from its No. 3 team, and the lone doubles loss was by a score of 5-7.
Ayala got half of its six team points from its No. 1 singles player, Natalie Kha.
Kha is considered to be the favorite by many to win the Palomares League’s eventual singles champion.
