Glendora finished in fifth place at this past weekend’s Corona Invitational.
On Thursday, we defeated Citrus Valley, 11-7, and then the Tartans dropped a 10-9 decision to Roosevelt.
Two days later, Glendora fell to University, 12-9, and then GHS edged Valley View, 14-12.
Mikey Villagran had a team-best 13 goals.
Nate Lamberston and Peter Collins blocked 12 shots apiece in goal for the Tartans.

“We played and competed against (some of the) top ranked teams in our CIF-SS division, beating or having close games with all of them,” Coach Alba Espinar Gomez said. ” I’m very satisfied with the level we’re playing at to start this season. I’m very excited to see the team continue to improve and what we can accomplish in the future.”
Up next: GHS will host Trabuco Hills (0-3) on Tuesday at 4, and Great Oak on Thursday at 3:15.
