Boys Water Polo, Girls Tennis & Football:
It was a pretty solid Thursday for the Bonita High School athletics programs.
The girls tennis program edged rival San Dimas, and the boys water polo team blew out the Saints.
It was capped with a 44-0 beatdown of visiting La Salle in football.
Girls Tennis: Bonita 10, San Dimas 8:
No. 1 singles player, sophomore Valerie Tran, won two matches on Thursday.
At No. 2 singles was Natalie Al Bouz, who went 3-0 for the Bearcats.
And the No. 2 doubles team, a freshman tandem of Cindy Zhang and Janice Sum, won twice.
Boys Water Polo: Bonita 14, San Dimas 6:
Senior: Jake Carlson led the way with five goals.
Max Distaso, also a senior, provided two goals and three assists.
Senior Parker Montgomery and Jackson Dincin, a junior, chipped in with two goals apiece.
Julian Falk had nine saves in goal.
And freshman Jeff Heaton scored twice in Thursday’s win over San Dimas.
The Bearcats improved to 3-1.

Football: Bonita 44, La Salle 0
The Bearcats got three TD’s from senior Jayden Montenegro in a blowout of the visiting Lancers.
Montenegro had a 49-yard TD run less than two minutes into Thursday’s game and then he caught 13-and-20-yard TD passes from freshman quarterback, Daniel Mielke.
Montenegro has scored seven TD’s since last Friday.
Noah Mikhail had a 33-yard rushing TD, and Cole Parra scored on a 1-yard run.
Connor Milici took a kickoff return 70 yards for a score and the Bearcats find themselves 3-0.
