Rossetti & Hobbensiefken Combine for Six Hits & Five RBIs in Mt. SAC’s 8-3 SCC Victory at East Los Angeles College

College Baseball:

Mt. SAC isn’t cementing a playoff spot like it usually does this time of year.

But the Mounties can certainly play the role of spoiler.

On Thursday, Mt. SAC evened its three-game series with ELAC with an 8-3 road victory.

Joey Peralta went five innings and allowed three runs on six hits.

Peralta issued a pair of walks and fanned four.

Hunter Holmes, Damian Torres and Ray Northey combined for four scoreless innings.

Richard Ponce went 2-for-5 and scored.

Michael Easter doubled twice, scored and had an RBI.

Matt McIntire singled and scored.

Alex Mendez and Ruben Hernandez walked, singled twice and drove in one run each.

Robert Banuelos allowed four unearned runs on six hits over three innings.

He walked two and fanned one MSAC batter.

The Mounties got two runs each off Isaiah Ayala and Andrew Contreras on eight hits.

Joey Rossetti went 4-for-5, with two runs and a pair of RBIs.

Blake Hagerty walked, singled twice and scored a pair of runs.

Travis Hobbensiefken went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

Damien Delgadillo walked, had two doubles and scored.

Elijah Pelayo singled twice and drove in a pair of runs.

Alex Reynozo walked and scored.

Bradyn France singled, scored and had an RBI.

Up next: The Mounties hope to secure the series on Saturday at Mt. SAC.
