Baseball:
San Dimas stayed even with Charter Oak atop the Valle Vista League standings.
Jacob Becerra and Kody King combined on a four-hit shutout, as the Saints defeated the Bulldogs, 8-0, on Monday.
Becerra went five and allowed two hits, issued a pair of walks and fanned three WCHS batters.
King got the final six outs and half came via strikeout.
Austin Nguyen went 2-for-3, and Tony Macon and Jacob Nguyen had one single apiece to account for the rest of the WCHS offense.
Aiden Trejo got the loss.
Trejo went 4 2/3 innings and allowed four runs on nine hits.
He issued a pair of walks and struck out two.
SDHS touched up Marcus Mayweather for four runs on six hits over two innings.
Mayweather walked four and fanned four SDHS batters.
Ryan Castro went 4-for-4 with a double, two runs and a pair of RBIs.
Kasen Khansarinia had an RBI single.
Vaughn Coleman went 2-for-2 with a run.
Landon White singled, doubled, scored and had an RBI.
Ryder Young singled, scored and drove in a run.
Rocco Regan and Jayden Medina had two singles and one run apiece.
John Nauertz doubled, scored and had two RBIs.
Up next: San Dimas travels to Covina, and West Covina visits Charter Oak.
