Glendora Edges Claremont, 5-4, in 11 Innings; Tartans Finish Palomares League Play in Two-Way Tie for Second w/Ayala

Softball:

Glendora and Ayala finished the regular season in a two-way for second place in the Palomares League.

GHS persevered on senior day, defeating Claremont, 5-4, in 11 innings.

Ryan Speh walked in the bottom of the 11th inning and scored on a wild pitch.

Abby Moran went 7 1/3 innings and allowed three runs on four hits for the Wolfpack.

Moran walked five and struck out four GHS batters.

Glendora also got a pair of runs off Meghan Mason on three hits.

Mason walked two and fanned a pair of GHS batters.

Haley Ganino singled, homered and had two RBIs.

Makenna Coleman singled and drove in a pair of runs.

Bridget Nemeth singled and scored two runs, and Allison Winovitch singled and scored once.

Ashley Hibbard had an RBI base hit for the Tartans.

Haley Ganino started and allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits.

Ganino didn’t issue a walk and fanned four over her four innings of work.

Bridget Nemeth went seven innings and allowed two runs on four hits.

Nemeth walked two and struck out 12.

Milla Sanchez singled and hit a solo home run.

Aubrey Champion singled twice and scored.

Madyson Clark walked, singled and scored twice.

Spencer Ventura and Kailah Gale singled and had one RBI each.
