Boys Wrestling:
The 2021-22 boys wrestling season ended on Saturday night in Bakersfield.
There were only four area placers, including a runner-up, fourth, fifth and eighth-place medalists.
Walnut’s Ronnie Ramirez dropped a 10-1 decision to l Dorado’s Isaiah Quintero in the 106-pound title bout.
San Marino’s Ryan Arrington (220) was fourth after St. John Bosco’s Nicholas Sahakian pinned him at 1:34.
Northview’s Adrian Limon defeated Buchanan’s Cisco Cabrera, 10-6, to secure fifth place.
Julian Leon (Northview) was eighth after dropping a -1 decision to Temecula Valley’s Devin Avedissian, 3-1.
Northview had the best team finish amongst SGV area programs.
The Vikings were 14th, Walnut 18th and San Marino 33rd.
