Wrestling:

As mentioned in the story link below, the Northview wrestling family recently suffered a terrible loss.

Armando Cruz Senior, the father of Northview junior Nate Cruz, died on Christmas Eve after a battle with COVID.

Mr. Cruz was just 55 years of age.

Cruz and his son, Nate, who wrestles at 170 pounds for the Vikings, were more than father-and-son, they were each other’s best friend.

Having lived with his dad, Nate worried about what the immediate future might hold, with the loss of his hero and roommate.

Thankfully, Nate’s 36-year-old brother, Armando Cruz Junior, and his sister-in-law, Cynthia, immediately made plans to welcome Nate into their home.

The family announced that funeral plans have been finalized.

The service will take place this Saturday (Jan 8) at Covina Community Church at 5 p.m.

The address is 1551 E. Old Badillo St., Covina, 91624.
