Boys Water Polo:
West Covina has now won four of its first five Valle Vista League matches after Thursday’s 14-12 victory at Cathedral.
The Bulldogs only loss was a triple-overtime, one-goal setback to San Dimas back on September 21st.
In Thursday’s two-goal victory, Cathedral started (five goals) and finished strong (four goals) strong, but WCHS did just enough to head home from Los Angeles victorious.
Matthew Munoz continues to terrorize opponent’s goalies and had nine goals in the win.
Andrew Encarnacion contributed four big goals for the Bulldogs.
Jeremiah Juarez scored once for WCHS.
Ryan Diaz came up with some big saves late in the game and finished with 14 blocks
Up next: The Bulldogs will host first-place Charter Oak (5-0 in league) on Tuesday afternoon.
