Boys Basketball:
Charter Oak kept its spot atop the Valle Vista League standings after Thursday’s 74-52 victory over San Dimas.
The Chargers hold a one-game lead over second-place Covina.
Andrew Bongo led the way with 28 points, nine rebounds and two blocked shots.
Bongo also hit four 3-pointers in the first quarter to spark the COHS offense.
Jay Gonzalez got into early foul trouble, but he was able to produce 10 points and five assists in the second half.
DJ Williams led the SDHS offense with 12 points, including three 3-pointers.
Aaron Park chipped in with nine points for the Saints and Braeden Zemetra had eight points.
Up next: San Dimas will travel to Northview on Monday, and Charter Oak will host Northview on Tuesday.
