Boys Basketball:
RJ Smith torched the nets Monday night for 29 points, as Damien cruised to an 85-66 victory at Charter Oak.
Smith finished even stronger than he started, scoring 11 fourth-quarter points, including three 3-pointers.
He began the night with nine of Damien’s 25 first-quarter points.
Malik Thomas chipped in with 20 points, with 12 combing from beyond the 3-point line.
Andrew Bongo led Charter Oak with 21 points and Jay Gonzalez had 13 points for the Chargers.
Up next: Damien will host Upland tonight (Tuesday) at 6:30.
Charter Oak will travel to West Covina on Wednesday for a 6:30 tip off with the Bulldogs.
