It ended up being a banner week for the Claremont High School Tennis programs.
A couple days ago, the Wolfpack’s Goldie La claimed the Palomares League singles championship by defeating her sister and teammate, Sydney La.
In doubles, the tandem of Jahday Drewery and Caren Uribe claimed a 6-0, 3-6, 6-1 title-match victory over Alta Loma’s Sydney O’Neill and her partner, Alyssa Butler.
Fast forward to Friday and it was time for the CHS boys to step up.
And they did.
In the boys singles title match, Claremont’s Ronald Chen defeated teammate, David Brownlee, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3.
And in doubles, it was an all-Claremont final.
Caleb Settles and Joseph Anagnos defeated Lucas Rival and Lance Lao, 6-1, 6-2.
