Boys Basketball:
Claremont gave Glendora all they wanted and then some in Friday night’s Palomares League basketball game.
A four-point, second-half advantage ended up being enough for the Tartans.
GHS held on for a 54-49 victory, and improved to 3-1 in league play.
Braydon Wooldridge led the Tartans with 20 points, including a 4-of-5 effort from behind the 3-point line.
Wooldridge also grabbed three rebounds.
Austin Clark had nine points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.
And Noah Smith added nine points and four assists in the win.
Sebastian DePerz led the Claremont offense with 20 points.
Isaiah Love chipped in with 15 points for the Wolfpack.
Jerric Wu finished with six points in the loss.
Claremont’s defense held the Tartans’ leading scorer on most nights, Luke Jacobson to just two points on Friday.
Up next: GHS will host Alta Loma on Tuesday at 6:30 and Claremont will welcome first-place Colony into their gym.
