PHS Explodes for 9 Runs in Fourth Inning; Bulldogs Pick Up First Pacific League Victory, 10-4, Over Burroughs

Baseball:

Pasadena picked up its first Pacific League victory of the 2021 season on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs hammered out 11 hits in a 10-4 victory at Burroughs.

Desi Lopez went 5 2/3 innings and allowed four runs (two earned) on six hits.

He walked one and struck out seven to earn the win.

Andrew Chapman went 3-for-4 with a run scored.

Nick Forrest  singled, doubled twice and scored three runs.

PHS would gather 11 hits off of six different Indians’ pitchers.

Max Newhart singled, doubled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.

Evan Coad went 2-for-4, with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Justin Brooks and Jaxon Bacon both singled twice, scored and had an RBI.

Ben Griffith walked, singled twice and scored.

Jackson Stuart walked, scored and had two RBIs.

Casey Skett walked twice, scored and had one RBI.

Michael Gonzalez singled and scored.

Up next: PHS will host Burroughs on Friday at 3:30.
