.Quotable:

Loyola coach, Sean Buller: “Five games in six days is such a mental and emotional grind in addition to the physical grind. To finish 3-2 against a good group of teams with limited time on the field to prepare is great for Loyola. Our energy the last two games was great, the team gets a much deserved day off tomorrow, and we get back at it against Mater Dei next Wednesday. I like the direction Loyola is headed right now.”

Loyola senior, David Case: “Today was a good bounce back day for me, and a great way to finish off the tournament as a team. I feel like my first inning against Mission Viejo was one of the worst innings of my life, and it sucked to put my team in a bad position from the get go. However, it was nice to get humbled, and after the first inning, I was able to finish my start on a good note. Today, Coach Buller wanted me to focus on getting the fastball in, and I was able to do that, which gave Fullerton’s offense no chance. I was glad to bounce back and give my team a chance to win in my second start. We played great all around today, so I’m pumped that we finished out this tournament strong with a winning record and the momentum to carry onto next week!”
