Ayala set the tone early and never looked back in Thursday’s season opener.
The Bulldogs put together a first-possession scoring drive that consisted of 17 plays and ate up nearly 11 minutes of clock to open the floodgates.
Ayala would cruise to a 38-14 victory over Temescal Canyon, and the Bulldogs defense didn’t allow the Titans to score until the fourth quarter.
Bryan Wilson completed 12 of his 15 attempts for 170 yards, including three TD passes.
Marcus Monroe caught three passes for 71 yards, which included a pair of TD receptions.
Andrew Aguilar had a game-high six catches for 73 yards.
Jacob Badawi led the Bulldogs rushing attack with 61 yards on nine carries and a TD.
Xavier Crockett gained 44 yards on eight carries and Wilson ran the ball four times for 34 yards.
Ayala scored the game’s first 38 points and its defense did the rest.
The Bulldogs special teams played aggressively and caused three turnovers.
Andrew Aguilar and Marcus Monroe had one interception apiece.
Dominic Lanathaua forced a fumble and Theodore Woodbury had a scoop-and-score (fumble recovery) in the win.
