Boys Athletes of the Week:
Three local quarterbacks had remarkable week four performances.
St. Francis’ Jack Jacobs played a part in all six SFHS scores on Friday.
Jacobs led the Golden Knights to a 42-6 victory at Muir.
He completed 13 of 18 for 206 yards, including four TD passes.
Jacobs also rushed for 80 yards and scored two rushing TD’s, the longest of which was 65 yards.
Ayala’s Bryan Wilson had arguably the most complete game of his young career.
Wilson was huge in the Bulldogs 42-7 victory at Tustin.
He completed 12 of his 19 pass attempts for 302 yards and three TD’s.
And the Ayala sophomore rushed for a pair of touchdowns.
Wilson is now 10-0 as the Bulldogs quarterback.
Pasadena’s Kaden Taylor led PHS to a 52-13 victory over Harvard Westlake.
The Bulldogs senior accounted for 510 yards and six TD’s.
Taylor went 14 of 19 for 368 yards and four scores.
He also had a team-high 142 yards rushing on 11 carries, and scored twice with his feet.
Taylor has thrown for 1,212 yards and 14 TD’s through the Bulldogs first five games.
