Volleyball:
The San Dimas High School varsity girls’ volleyball team delivered a dominant performance on the home court, sweeping Los Altos High School in straight sets.
The Saints won by scores of 25-9, 25-13 and 26-24.
The win improves San Dimas to 2-0 and secures sole possession of first place in the Hacienda League standings.
San Dimas took total control from the opening serve against Los Altos, overpowering the Conquerors 25-9 in a lopsided first set.
The Saints kept their foot on the gas in the second frame, executing cleanly on defense and attack to cruise to a 25-13 win and take a commanding 2-0 match lead.
Los Altos fought back fiercely in the third set, pushing San Dimas into extra points in a bid to extend the match.
However, the Saints showed great poise down the stretch, closing out the nail-biting set 26-24 to complete the 3-0 sweep.
San Dimas was fueled by standout contributions across the board:
Neriah Bobadilla put together another stellar double-double performance, pacing the attack with 11 kills while anchoring the backline with 13 digs.
Violet Robertson was a force at the net, matching the team high with 11 kills to go along with 4 decisive blocks.
Eva Huynh continued her reliable defensive play, leading the back-row effort with 10 digs.
Kalissa Disney orchestrated the offense with 8 assists and kept Los Altos off-balance behind the serve, recording three aces.
Juliana Picazo matched Disney’s serving heat, firing off three aces of her own to highlight the Saints’ strong service game.
With the straight-set sweep in the books and an undefeated league record intact, San Dimas continues to showcase its depth, high-powered net play, and composure under pressure as Hacienda League action heats up.
