Football:
South Hills jumped on Diamond Ranch for a couple of first-quarter TDs, and they would cruise to a 42-0 victory at DRHS.
The Huskies totaled 446 yards of total offense and they were pretty balanced.
Fabian Marez was an effective 11-for-13 for 167 yards.
Marez tossed a pair of TD passes.
And he was picked once.
Isaiah Castellano had six receptions for 83 yards and one TD.
Maxal Rodriguez reeled in three passes for 73 yards and one score.
Jacob Gallardo (1-for-12) and Levi Tedlie (1-for-6) combined for one reception apiece for 18 yards.
Jaylen Lang led the SHHS ground game for 91 yards on 10 carries.
Lang scored a pair of rushing TDs.
Jorge Aldaco gained 81 yards on seven carries and one TD.
Justin Jimenez carried the ball six times for 84 yards and one score.
Marez had a 23-yard carry.
Harlan Feld and Aldaco had five tackles apiece to lead the South Hills defense.
Benjamin Mehraban, Jake San Angelo, and Daniel Calderon chipped in with four tackles.
San Angelo and Calderon also had one sack apiece.
Up next: The Huskies travel to Los Osos next Thursday at 7.
The Grizzlies (0-3) have dropped consecutive games to JW North, Citrus Valley and Charter Oak by a combined margin of 113-33.
