Derosier Goes Five Scoreless & Strikes Out Four & Pierandozzi Went 3-for-3 w/Four RBIs in PHS’ 6-3 Victory Over South Pasadena

Baseball:

Pasadena won’t be competing in the 2026 CIF-SS playoffs.

However, the Bulldogs ended the season having won six of their final nine games.

And that included Wednesday’s 6-3 victory at South Pasadena.

Dylan Derosier went five scoreless innings and scattered five hits to earn the win.

Derosier didn’t issue a walk and registered four strikeouts.

South Pas got to Bruno Pierandozzi for three runs (one earned) on one hit, a walk and a hit batter over one inning of work.

Reese Kim got the final three outs.

Matt Rogers had an RBI ground out in the three-run bottom of the sixth inning.

Anthony Ortiz doubled and scored.

Kory How singled and scored.

Isaiah Esquivel walked and scored.

Aaron Kawasaki walked and had a pair of singles.

Phil Malatesta doubled and Cody Robinson singled.

Hanson Chan was charged with two runs on five hits over two innings.

Chan didn’t allow a walk and struck out a pair of Bulldogs.

Phil Malatesta got the loss after allowing four runs on four hits, a walk, and a hit batter in two innings.

Malatesta struck out a trio of PHS batters.

Jayden Mendoza singled three times, doubled and scored two runs.

Dylan Derosier went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Maximus Reynolds singled three times in four at-bats.

Aaron Martinez singled and scored.

Kai Cunningham walked, singled and scored.

Bruno Pierandozzi went 3-for-4, including a double and four RBIs.

That included a two-run single in the second inning and a two-run double in the sixth.

Jackson Bradley had an RBI single and scored.

Harrison Gwaltney was hit by pitch and scored.
