Baseball:
After Lancaster snapped Muir’s 11-game win streak on Monday (11-6), the Mustangs were back on the field on Wednesday’s afternoon in the regular season finale.
MHS cruised to a 10-0 victory over their visitors from Los Amigos in five innings.
The Mustangs out-hit the Lobos, 14-4.
Noah Hunziker earned the win after going 3 2/3 scoreless innings and scattered a pair of hits.
Hunziker didn’t issue a walk and registered two strikeouts.
Roger Vasquez got the final three outs, while surrendering a pair of hits.
Vasquez walked one and struck out one LAHS batter.
Matt Cortez doubled, while Adrian Del La Riva, Anthony Gracia and Alexander Plaza singled for the Lobos.
Anthony Gracia got the loss after surrendering six runs on seven hits, a walk and one hit batter over three innings of work.
Ezekiel Rodriguez singled, scored twice, hit a solo home run and drove in another on a sac fly.
Eduardo Sosa went 3-for-3 with a run and three RBIs.
George Perez and drove in a pair of runs.
Lawton Gray singled twice and scored.
Luca Cano went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs and two RBIs.
Sergio Rodriguez singled and scored.
Brandon Figueroa walked and scored.
Kahlil Rishwain was hit by pitch and scored.
Connor Franklin and Bryant Soriano had one hit apiece for Muir.
Up next: The Mustangs will get their playoff opponent on Saturday afternoon at 1.
