Kennedy Bowers Homers & Drives in Three in Glendora’s 5-2 Victory at Bonita; Tartans Secured Second in Palomares League

Softball:

Glendora left Bonita with a 5-2 victory and the second seed out of the Palomares League.

The Tartans scored four times in the top of the first inning and they never trailed.

Freshman Emma Garcia went the distance and surrendered two runs on eight hits.

Garcia walked four and struck out three BHS batters.

Koa Puppe went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, including a two-run two-bagger in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Leah Reynolds drew a pair of walks and scored.

Kiana Crawford walked, singled and scored.

Kelli Okayama, Adrianna Mangini, Sara Yeats and Madi Arzate had one single apiece.

Serenity Reyes got the loss after allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits and a pair of hit batters.

Reyes didn’t issue a walk and registered a pair of strikeouts.

Kennedy Bowers was hit by pitch, hit a two-run HR and singled in a run.

Morgan Gonzalez doubled twice and scored.

Ryan Torres went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI.

Emma Garcia was hit by pitch and singled.

Lauren Curiel singled and drove in a run on a sac fly.

Siena Bobadilla reached base on an error in the first inning and scored.

Up next: The Tartans and Bearcats will get their playoff opponent on May 11th at 9 am.
