Baseball:
Three South Hills pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout on Monday evening.
The Huskies snapped a two-game losing streak and secured a 7-0 victory over their visitors from El Rancho High School.
Hudson Hempel went 5 1/3 scoreless innings and allowed a pair of singles.
Hempel issued one walk and registered four strikeouts.
Fabian Marez (2/3 IP) and Marc Morales (1) combined to go 1 2/3 scoreless and hitless innings and strike out three ERHS batters.
Esteban Lopez and Adrian Rojas had one single apiece.
Xavier Contreras went three innings, and he was charged with one run on two hits.
Contreras walked two and fanned a trio of Huskies.
SHHS got to Alex Aparicio for four runs (three earned) on two hits and a pair of walks without Aparicio retiring a batter.
Carson Baker went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.
Gabriel Guerrero singled twice and scored.
Noah Sibrian drew a pair of walks and scored.
Wesley Manning had an RBI single in the third and a sac fly in the fifth.
Ayden Vieth walked and scored.
Diego Villarreal walked, singled, scored and had an RBI ground out.
Victor Merlos walked, had an RBI ground out and scored.
Richie Soto walked and singled.
Liam Martinez singled.
