Softball:
Glendora cruised to a 10-0 victory over their visitors from Diamond Bar on Friday.
The Tartans out-hit the Brahmas, 14-3.
With two Palomares League games to play, GHS trails first-place Ayala by one game, and they lead third-place Bonita by a single game.
Gianna Messick went all five innings and scattered three hits to earn the win.
Messick issued one walk and registered six strikeouts.
Forty-six of her 71 pitches were strikes.
Offensively, Emma Garcia singled, doubled and scored three times.
Liz Dominguez had an RBI double.
Kiley Coleman singled in a run, scored and drove in another run on a sac fly.
Mady Stone had an RBI single and scored.
Penny Dixon went 2-for-2 with a pair of runs and one RBI.
Mia Reyes singled in a run and scored.
Addison Bowers went 1-for-2 with a pair of RBIs.
Kaylie Winovitch singled twice, scored a pair of runs and drove in one.
Siena Bobadilla went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Ryan Torres had one single in Friday’s win.
