David Ouch Gets Win on Mound, Singled, Doubled & Scored in Marshall’s 7-5 MVL Victory Over Mountain View

Baseball:

Marshall scored three runs in the top of the seventh to outlast their hosts from Mountain View, 7-5, on Friday afternoon.

The Eagles have put themselves in a position to control their own destiny.

Marshall is one-game back in the loss column to both South El Monte and Arroyo, and they play the Eagles and Knights over the last two weeks of the regular season.

Elijah Lain went 5 1/3 innings, and he was charged with five runs (three earned) on five hits and one hit batter.

Lain issued three walks and registered seven strikeouts.

David Ouch was credited with the win after going 1 2/3 scoreless innings and allowing one hit.

Ouch walked two and fanned a pair of MVHS batters.

Ryan Molinar doubled and drove in a pair of runs.

Luke Davila singled, doubled and scored a pair of runs.

Alex Moreno went 1-for-2 with a walk, two runs and an RBI.

Marcus Alvarez singled and scored.

Eder Sales went 1-for-2 with a walk and one RBI.

Molinar got the loss after surrendering four runs (two earned) on five hits over six innings.

Molinar walked three and fanned eight Marshall batters.

The Eagles got to Alcantar for three unearned runs on three hits and a walk.

Elijah Lain went 3-for-3 with a walk, two doubles, scored a pair of runs and drove in one on a first-inning double.

Kaden Mullins singled and scored a pair of runs.

David Ouch singled, doubled and scored.

Bryce Steinberg had an RBI single in the decisive three-run seventh inning.

Chris Romero walked, scored and drove in a run on a sac fly.

Liam Wahlstrom singled in a run and scored.

Up next: The Eagles travel to Arroyo on Wednesday at 3:15.
