Softball:
La Salle officially secured an outright Camino Real League championship.
The Lancers cruised to a 15-4 victory over Mary Star in five innings.
With two CRL games to play, La Salle has a three-game lead over second-place Cantwell Sacred Heart.
The Lancers have thoroughly dominated their way to a title.
They’ve outscored their league counterparts by a combined margin of 110-8.
Peyton Herdina went the distance in the circle, and she allowed four runs on six hits.
Herdina issued one walk and registered seven strikeouts.
Offensively, Herdina went 3-for-3 with a walk and three RBIs.
Maeve Totten walked, singled, doubled, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.
Aria Davis went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs and a pair of RBIs.
Havana Pagan singled and scored a pair of runs.
Maria Torres singled, scored and drove in a run.
Olivia Ferrari singled and scored a pair of runs.
Natalia Nolasco walked and drove in a run on a sac fly.
Up next: La Salle travels to Crescenta Valley on Monday in a nonconference contest.
