College Baseball:
PCC does what they do every year.
They battle for their annual playoff spot, and along the way, they knock off state and South Coast Conference powers.
On Thursday, the Lancers secured an 11-8 victory over SCC leading El Camino, 11-8, at Brookside Park.
PCC scored at least one run in seven of their eight at-bats including a run in the second through eighth innings.
Alex Myers went 1 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing one hit, walking one and fanning two.
Matt Garcia was credited with the win after his 1 1/3 innings, surrendering an unearned run on two hits and a pair of walks.
Sergio Robles earned the save with 1 2/3 scoreless innings and allowing one hit.
Slater Nunez hit a two-run home run.
Caden Lewis had a pair of doubles, walked, scored and drove in one run.
Gil Solis singled in a run, doubled and scored.
Nolan Fox walked and doubled in a run.
Kai Nagashima went 3-for-5 with a double, run and two RBIs.
Johnny Munoz singled and scored.
Nathan Rivera drew three walks, singled and scored a pair of runs.
Dylan Mares walked, singled and scored.
Johnny Munoz singled and scored.
Dane Rhodes drove in a run on a sac fly.
Adrian Pineda started and allowed four runs (two earned) on two hits, eight walks and a hit batter.
Pineda struck out five PCC batters.
Gavin Sanchez was saddled with the loss after surrendering four runs (three earned) on five hits, two walks and a hit batter.
Joaquin Salcedo hit a three-run home run and had an RBI ground out.
Omar Cisneros singled and scored three times.
Xiovany Ochoa went 2-for-5 with a walk, double, two runs and an RBI.
Chris Torres drew a pair of walks, scored twice and had an RBI ground out.
Logan Parker went 2-for-4 with a walk and one RBI.
Isaac Ton drew four walks, singled in a run and scored.
Luke Bauer walked twice and doubled.
Diego Gurfein singled and drove in a run on a sac fly.
Joey Ramos went 1-for-4 with a walk, two runs and an RBI.
Up next: PCC closes out the regular season portion of their schedule on Friday at El Camino.
