Just when it looked like Monrovia was about to wrap up victory No. 14 of the season, Glendora fought back.
The Tartans trailed 3-1 in the bottom of the seventh, and they scored twice to force extra innings.
In the 10th, GHS pushed across a run to secure a 4-3 victory.
James Quesenbery went five scoreless innings and scattered five hits.
Quesenbery walked two and fanned one GHS batter.
Wyatt Barrier provided one inning of relief and surrendered one run on one hit and a hit batter, while striking out one.
Sutton Powers was saddled with the loss after giving up three runs on six hits and a hit batter over 3 1/3 innings.
Powers issued two walks and registered three strikeouts.
Glendora pounded out 12 hits, including nine separate Tartans collecting at least one base hit.
Trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Santiago Garza doubled and advanced to third on a wild pitch.
Sebastian Lawrence drove Garza home with a sac fly.
In the seventh, Troy Norman walked and Riley Cooper tripled him home to pull GHS to within 3-2 of Monrovia.
With one out, Tanner Grable singled to tie the score at 3-3.
In the 10th, Aidan Yamazaki led off with a single.
Yamazaki advanced to second and third on a ground out and a Joseph Apodaca single.
Johnny Jabbour came on to pinch run for Yamazaki, and he’d score on a ground ball to first off the bat of Troy Norman.
Norman finished 2-for-4 with a walk, run and one RBI.
Apodaca singled twice.
Garza walked, singled, doubled and scored.
John Seader and Jude Garcia singled.
Jude Garcia went 3 1/3 innings, and he allowed two runs on five hits.
Garcia walked two and fanned a pair of Wildcats.
Santiago Garza provided 3 1/3 innings in relief and surrendered one run on two hits and a hit batter.
Garza issued one walk and registered two strikeouts.
Chase Medina got the win thanks to 3 1/3 scoreless innings and allowing just two hits.
Medina didn’t walk anyone and struck out four.
Kaleb Ellison got Monrovia out to a 2-0 lead with his two-run HR in the top of the fourth.
Braydon Blackmore extended the Wildcats advantage to 3-1 with his two-out RBI single in the top of the seventh.
Micah Clauson walked, singled twice and scored.
Troy Grise singled and doubled.
Sutton Powers and Evan Huelster both doubled on Saturday.
Braedon Petteruto-Shine walked and scored.
Wyatt Barrier singled once for MHS.
Up next: The Wildcats travel to South Pasadena on Tuesday, and the Tartans visit Claremont on Wednesday.
