Baseball:
Northview snapped a three-game losing streak on Monday.
The Vikings scored 12 runs in the first three innings, and they cruised to a 13-5 victory over their visitors from Central Valley.
Josh Correa went three scoreless innings, and he allowed one hit and two walks.
Monico Martinez was charged with five runs (four earned) on five hits over three innings.
Martinez issued two walks and registered a pair of strikeouts.
Michael Mendoza got the final two outs, including two via strikeout.
Tyson Hunt singled three times and scored.
Carter Hernandez doubled in a run and scored.
Isaias Valdovinos and Caden Mendonca had one single, an RBI and scored one run apiece.
Nathan Cazares walked and had an RBI ground out.
Adrian Vega walked and scored.
Mason Whitworth had an RBI single.
Isaac Fletcher got the loss after surrendering seven runs (six earned) on eight hits over 1 1/3 innings.
Fletcher didn’t walk anyone and struck out one.
Noah Martinez singled three times and scored four runs.
Ezekiel Martinez went 2-for-2 with two walks, two one-run doubles and scored three times.
Michael Mendoza had two singles, a double, run and one RBI.
Jaime Gallardo drew three walks, including one with the bases loaded and scored one run.
Nate Arellano drew a bases loaded walk.
Fernie Casas went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.
Jayden Chagollan went 2-for-4 with a walk, two-run double and scored three times.
Bobby Granados had an RBI single, an RBI ground out and scored.
Chris Elizalde singled once in the win.
Up next: The Vikings face Paraclete today (Tuesday) at 3:45 in the Santa Ana Elks Tournament.
