Softball:
Upland slugged their way to a 6-4 victory at Bonita.
The Highlanders out-hit the Bearcats, 12-9, including a 6-2 advantage in extra-base hits.
UHS hit three home runs and three doubles.
Serenity Reyes got the loss after surrendering five runs on seven hits over four innings.
Reyes issued five walks and struck out seven Upland batters.
Amaya Contreras went 2-for-5, scored twice and hit a three-run HR in the top of the fourth inning.
Jayla Ruiz drew a pair of walks, singled and hit a two-run shot in the first to give UHS a 2-0 lead.
Mya Harris had a solo home run.
Bailey Butler singled and doubled.
Lailah Lomeli walked, singled, doubled and scored.
Arianna Velazquez doubled in the win.
Logan Bester walked and scored.
Ziyanah Benavidez walked and singled.
Samantha Herrera singled once on Friday.
Davanie Cardenas went the distance and allowed four runs (three earned) on nine hits.
Cardenas walked five and struck out a pair of Bearcats.
Adriana Mangini and Koe Puppe both drew a pair of walks and hit a solo home run.
Laila Washington walked, singled twice and scored.
Madi Arzate and Kelli Okayama had two singles apiece for BHS.
