Muir Dominates Burbank, 13-3, to Secure First Pacific League Victory; Rodriguez, Cano, Gould & Martinez Drove in Nine Runs

Baseball:

Muir finally secured its first Pacific League victory of the season.

The Mustangs put a 13-3 beatdown on their hosts from Burbank.

MHS led 11-0 in the top of the third and the outcome was never in doubt.

Zachery Avrach went five innings and he was charged with three runs on five hits.

Avrach issued two walks and registered six strikeouts.

Justin Figueroa provided two scoreless and hitless innings in relief, including one strikeout.

Luke Kuiper walked, singled and scored.

Mason Schwartz and Anthony Sanchez singled and scored one run apiece.

Thomas Angel went 1-for-4 with an RBI.

Julian Recinos had an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth.

Ryland LeClair drew a bases loaded walk.

Four Burbank pitchers combined to hit Muir batters eight times.

Sebastian Aguirre got the loss after surrendering seven runs on four hits over one-plus inning.

Luca Cano went 2-for-4, was hit by pitch, doubled, scored one run and drove in two.

Kahlil Rishwain was hit by pitch, walked, singled twice and scored three runs.

Brandon Figueroa walked, singled and scored three runs of his own.

Ezekiel Rodriguez was plunked twice, scored and had three RBIs.

Will Gould went 1-for-2, drew a pair of walks, was hit by pitch, scored twice and had a pair of RBIs.

Sergio Rodriguez got hit by pitch twice and scored.

Lawton Gray got hit by pitch and scored.

Jagger Martinez went 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
