Baseball:
After a couple of losses in the last week to Chadwick and Rosemead, Rio Hondo Prep took out its frustration on their visitors from Webb.
The Kares out-hit the Gauls, 10-1, including a 2-0 edge in extra-base hits.
Benicio Tardino went six innings to earn the win, and he allowed one run on one hit.
Tardino issued one walk and registered eight strikeouts.
Abhi Patel got the final three outs with any damage.
Mikey Pino had a sac fly in the top of the fourth inning to pull Webb to within 6-1 of RHP.
Alex Kaushal walked, singled and scored.
Jaxu Bohn was charged with the loss after surrendering six runs (three earned) on five hits over two innings of work.
Bohn walked and struck out one batter apiece.
The Kares got to Geoffrey Yang for four runs (three earned) on seven hits and three walks over four innings.
Yang struck out one RHP batter.
Yanick Diaz went 3-for-3 with two runs and a pair of RBIs.
Landon Scott walked, doubled in a run and scored.
Aaron Sanchez had an RBI double and scored.
Easton Jara singled twice and scored a pair of runs.
Deven Gomez and Isaac Guzman singled and scored and scored one run apiece.
Jacob Gomez walked and scored.
Elijah Gavia had an RBI single in the sixth inning.
Aiden Delgadillo had an RBI ground out.
Nate Harwood singled and Calogero Chico scored.
