Alta Loma opened up Hacienda League play in dominant form.
And they have Maddox Delgado to thank for it.
Delgado tossed a one-hit shutout in a 3-0 victory over their visitors from Colony.
He walked five and fanned four CHS batters.
Adrian Martinez-Gomez had the lone Titans’ hit.
Mike Huicochea was saddled with the loss after surrendering three runs (two earned) on four hits over three innings.
Huicochea issed one walk and registered two strikeouts.
Anthony Moreno provided three scoreless innings in relief and scattered five hits.
Moreno walked three and struck out two batters.
The first three batters in the Lions lineup went a combined 6-for-8 with three runs and two RBIs.
Edward Garbo went 2-for-3 with an RBI single in the first inning and a sac fly in the third.
Luke Proctor drew a pair of walks, singled twice and scored two runs from the leadoff spot.
Matt Perez singled twice and scored.
Vincent Cantu singled twice.
Grant MacCharles singled in the win.
