Boys Basketball:
Maranatha gave its legendary coach, Tim Tucker, career victory No. 500 on Friday afternoon.
And it came in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 3AA playoffs.
The Minutemen got 16 points from Marko Mihajilovic and 15 more from Terrance Hampton Jr. in a 67-56 victory over Price.
The reason for the early tip off was Maranatha has baccalaureate tonight and a graduation ceremony tomorrow.
Gab Ramirez led Price with 22 points and Cam Butler chipped in with 16 points.
Up next: Maranatha will face the winner of tonight’s showdown between Adelanto and ML King in the quarterfinal round on Tuesday.
