Parker, Cisneros & Ochoa Combine to Drive in 10 Runs in Pasadena City College’s 18-4 SCC Victory Over Compton

College Baseball:

Pasadena City College cruised to an 18-4 South Coast Conference victory over their visitors from Compton.

The Lancers have now won the first two of a three-game SCC series.

Pasadena scored six times in the bottom of the second inning, and they got seven more in the sixth.

PCC scored against the first five of the six Coyotes’ pitchers.

Naeem Parra was saddled with the loss after allowing eight runs (two earned) on five hits over 4 2/3 innings.

Parra issued six walks and registered four strikeouts.

Logan Parker went 2-for-3 with a walk, two doubles, three runs and four RBIs.

Xiovany Ochoa doubled in a run and drove in a pair of runs on sac flies.

Omar Cisneros singled and drove in three runs.

Luke Bauer singled and scored a pair of runs.

Kyle Ly went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs and one RBI.

Jacob Escamilla drew a pair of walks and scored.

Chris Torres went 2-for-2 with three walks, four runs and two RBIs.

Joaquin Salcedo drew a pair of walks, singled, scored four runs and drove in one.

Ricky Gonzales singled, walked twice and scored two runs.

Jonathan Bracamonte got the win after going 4 2/3 innings and allowing four runs on eight hits.

Bracamonte walked one and fanned four Compton batters.

Landon Encheff (1/3 IP), Matt Garcia (3) and Camren Lobo (1) combined to provide 4 1/3 scoreless innings in relief.

The PCC trio combined to allow three hits, no walks and five strikeouts.

Julian Arellano had an RBI single and a solo HR.

Corey Guy walked, doubled and scored twice from the leadoff spot.

Amaree Burnett and Matthew Marroquin had one single and one RBI apiece.

Adam Gallegos doubled and scored.

Jaidon Carter went 2-for-3.

Up next: The Lancers travel to Compton on Saturday at noon in the hopes of securing the three-game conference sweep.
