Four Bonita pitchers combined on a one-hit shutout in Saturday’s season opener.

The Bearcats secured a 5-0 victory over their visitors from South Pasadena.

Ryder Gibson went the first four scoreless and hitless innings.

Gibson allowed three walks and struck out three Tigers’ batters.

Adam Raab, Andrew Jeffers and Daniel Nageer provided one scoreless inning apiece.

Julian Barnes had the lone hit for South Pasadena.

Cody Robinson was charged with all four runs on four hits and three walks over 2 1/3 innings.

Bonita got one run in both the first and second innings, and they struck for three more in the third.

Judah Reeve went 1-for-2 with a run and two RBIs.

Joaquin Covarrubias walked, scored and drove in a run on a sac fly.

Sean Compton drew a pair of walks and scored.

Esteban Parra walked, singled and drove in a run on a sac fly.
