Wrestling:
South Hills had a big day at the Hacienda League Finals.
The Huskies’ boys finished second as a program, but they had a league-best five individual champions.
South Hills saw its girls take first in team points (186.5) and titles won (5).
The top three placers at each weight class move on to the CIF-SS Individuals.
San Dimas had three champions in both genders, which was second best among Hacienda League boys and girls programs.
And that included three Baeza’s.
Aubreyelle Baeza won the 190-pound girls title, while her brothers Daniel (144) and Michael (215) both brought home individual championships.
Kamari Baldelomar secured the 138-pound crown for the Saints by defeating Colony’s Bruce Cabugos, 11-3.
The SHHS girls got title victories from Alejandra Suarez (110), Anyssa Lopez (130), Sofia Harwood (135), Ava McGowan (140) and Mia Mota (170), while the Huskies boys secured crowns from Isaac Tessier (120), Kayden Vasquez (126), Benjamin Delatorre (157), Dario Ruiz (165) and Roberto Topete at 175 pounds.
