Boys Hoops:
The only thing more satisfying in the regular season than league wins are comeback league wins.
And such was the case for La Salle.
The Lancers trailed throughout most of Monday’s Santa Fe League showdown with visiting Mary Star.
La Salle, however, went on a 15-8 run in the fourth quarter to edge the Stars, 52-50.
Kris Milselis scored five of his game-high 21 points in the decisive fourth quarter.
Milselis also tallied 10 rebounds and a pair of assists.
Diego Bernal chipped in with eight points and three rebounds.
Enzo Trejo contributed seven points, two assists and a pair of steals.
Cody Divens added seven points and five boards in the win.
Mary Star had a 7-0 advantage in 3-pointers.
Sam Lane led the Stars with 17 points.
Riley Kaercher chipped in with 11 points, including a pair of 3’s.
Jordan Saul hit two 3-pointers, and he finished with eight points.
Up next: The Lancers will travel to Cathedral High School on Friday evening at 7.
