Boys Hoops:
Bonita has earned itself a spot in the Damien Classic’s Copper Division title game on Tuesday.
To get there, the Bearcats needed and secured an 83-62 victory over Cajon.
BHS a 14-8 or 42-24 (point) advantage from beyond the 3-point arc.
Bonita used a 24-8 run in the third quarter to pull away.
James Kim scored a game high 25 points, and that included four 3’s.
Beau Rudometkin had four 3-pointers of his own, and he finished with 18 points.
Jakson Clement chipped in with 15 points, including three 3’s.
Jackson Murray led Cajon in 3-pointers (4) and points scored (17).
Miles Snowden contributed 12 points in the loss.
Up next: The Bearcats take on Esperanza on Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 for the Copper Division Title.
The game is scheduled for the Damien Athletic Center.
The Aztecs (16-1) claimed a 78-71 victory over Culver City in their semifinal round contest.
