The Cougars edged Branson, 58-55, in the first round of the Damien Classic’s Diamond Division.
Kavan Bowden led RCHS with 20 points.
JC Corneille contributed 11 points in the win.
Carter Johnson chipped in with nine for the Cougars.
NJ Gray led Branson with a game-high 23 points.
Up next: The Cougars will battle Los Alamitos on Saturday evening at 8.
