Girls Hoops:
Bonita extended its current win streak to three games on Friday.
The Bearcats cruised to a 66-21 victory at Avalon.
BHS led 27-2 after eight minutes and 40-11 at the break.
Bonita was led by two-sport stud, Tressa Beatty.
Beatty scored a game-high 18 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.
Brooke Van Duyne chipped in with 10 points.
Van Duyne was 4-of-4 from the free-throw line.
BHS got a balanced effort on Friday.
Arianie Jenkins (8), Aubrey Haynes (7), Kyra Amaya (6), Jenna Campbell (6) combined for 27 points in the win.
For the record, Avalon doesn’t have their roster posted online, so I couldn’t just put a last name and points scored.
Up next: The Bearcats travel to Pasadena on Tuesday to battle La Salle at 6.
